Bucher Glass brings manufacturing to Fairbanks!  
Bucher Glass will be manufacturing unitized curtain walls in Alaska instead of outsourcing the effort to China. AMEP’s Solution Program helped to reduce the risk of our manufacturing expansion. By helping locate an AutoCad technician specialized in unitized curtain wall manufacturing, AMEP improved our CNC equipment ROI and removed the waste of outsourcing AutoCad efforts. The AMEP project helped us improve our manufacturing efficiency process.

Glacierstone

Anchorage Municipality Grant helps Glacierstone increase recycled glass counter top manufacturing capacity. The project goal was to develop a polishing unit that would increase consumption of recycled materials into value-added products. The project was a success!  Glacierstone has already increased consumption of recycled glass by 300% since November of 2012.

SteamDot 
SteamDot recently expanded their roasting capacity at the O'Malley Centre Anchorage location.  They are the only coffee manufacturer with two different discipline roasters in one location in Alaska.  Having the roasting equipment in the same location reduces labor costs to operate the equipment and also increases the amount of high-end coffee production.
